One of this year’s hottest releases, the 2021 Yamaha NMax 155, made waves long before its official launch. With spy shots, speculation, and more aplenty, the NMax 155 has capture the hearts of the Filipino riding public with its premium looks, maxi-scooter comfort, and capable engine.
For 2021, hype for the NMax only increased. Luckily for us, Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) invited us to its plant in Batangas to experience the 2021 NMax 155 and all the new things it has to offer.
While traction control is a bit odd to see in this weight class, it’s a perfectly welcome feature to have, especially with the unpredictable nature of Philippine roads. On YMPH’s little test track, the featured performed admirably as it kept the NMax stable and composed on the light off-road and cobblestone portions.
Yamaha’s Y-Connect app brings a new level of connection between man and machine, allowing your smartphone to link up with the bike. Through the app, you’ll have access to several functions like a locator that tracks the last place you parked your bike, a fuel consumption tracker, a treatment recommendation function, and more. Perhaps the feature riders will use most is the message/call indicator in the NMax’s LCD dashboard.
