Chito Miranda has a new toy that he can play with while waiting for the COVID-19 pandemic to subside and live shows to resume.

Over the weekend, the Parokya ni Edgar frontman took to Facebook to upload photos and videos of him unboxing and trying out one of his Father’s Day gifts.

He shared: “Pagkagising ko kaninang umaga, may malaking box sa garahe. Hindi naman ako nag-Lazada or nag-salamat Shoppee...pero feeling ko para sa akin yung package kasi may drawing ng scooter sa harap, he he!

Miranda was referring to his new Xiaomi Himo Electric Bike T1 Pro, which he received from his wife Neri Naig. According to Top Gear Philippines, the e-bike is equipped with a 350W motor and 14,000mAh battery that is good for 80 to 120km (with modifications) of range.

The Himo T1 Pro has an intelligent battery management system, digital speedometer, multi-function combination switch, touch buttons, voice commands, and cruise control. The model, which also comes in white and gray, goes for P42,990.

Going back to Miranda’s post, he explained that the vehicle will be serving another another purpose: “Tama ako...para sa akin nga! Matagal na kasi akong nagpaparinig kay Neri na kailangan namin ng golf cart or e-scooter para pangkuha ng Lazada sa guardhouse, he he! Na-order niya raw sa Cutting Edge. Ayun...super enjoy!

He wrote back then: “The struggle is real. Nakapagod din, ha! Sobrang layo ng iniikot niyan sa village. Parang kailangan ko na bumili ng golf cart kasi lugi ako...para may pangkuha na rin ako ng Lazada sa guardhouse. Sakto, malapit na ang Father’s Day. Neri Miranda ay...na-tag!”

It didn’t turn out to be a golf cart, but now we know where the idea came from.
