Don’t be surprised if Sarah Lahbati starts sharing photos of her riding alongside—not backriding with—husband Richard Gutierrez soon.
The celebrity couple, along with their son Zion, returned to the Mx Messiah Fairgrounds (MMF) Academy in Taytay, Rizal, just a week after dirt biking for the first time. Instructor Sam Tamayo supervised the celebrity family’s session, which left him in awe of one particular person’s progress.
“In MMF Academy, I start off every student with an assessment through observation and questions to recognize their ‘prior learnings,’” he wrote in a post. “Usually adult students have experience at least driving four-wheel cars and that experience give them knowledge and skills that can help them a lot learning how to ride dirt bikes.”
According to the riding coach, Gutierrez was an advanced rider thanks to his experience with superbikes. In Lahbati’s case, Tamayo assumed that she at least knows how to drive a car.
He shared: “Sarah was learning fast and blitzing through each ‘module of instruction.’ And we were very proud. Only earlier during her third session when she mentioned she needed a driver’s license that I realized her knowledge/skills regarding motorcycles was literally zero!”
Lahbati replied on Instagram:“Ha ha! Told you I was starting from scratch. Thank you, coach for sharing all your knowledge with us and for being a great teacher. Excited to learn more.”
Tamayo also revealed that Zion learned to ride a KTM 50 SX, which is built for young motocross riders aged between four and 10 years old.
