Last December, the riders went to The Old Grove Farmstead in Batangas, also known as the ‘Netherlands of Lipa’—their first long-distance trip since the COVID-19 pandemic started. This time, they met up at Honda Prestige in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, before heading to the Alternative Summer Capital of the Philippines.
The OMG Squad brought the Honda Genio for the out-of-town ride.
The scooter runs on a Euro 3-compliant 110cc SOHC air-cooled engine, making it fuel-efficient and eco-friendly with a claimed mileage of 59.1 km/L. Priced at P72,900, it boasts a combi-brake system that consists of a front hydraulic disc and rear mechanical drum.
Aside from a park brake lock and side-stand kill switch, the Genio also comes with an LED headlight, digital meter panel with Eco indicator, and a secure key shutter with seat opener.
“Being a lady rider takes much confidence to ride. But it satisfies me to know the different cultures in each region, that is why I love the Philippine loop,” three-time Philippine Looper Jemelie Torres said. “And this Genio fits beginner riders who want to follow in my footsteps as a lady Philippine looper. Sobrang gaan niya, kayang dalhin kahit san.”
