Seeing this much love for bikes had us wondering if his hardcore rider sensibilities have rubbed off on his twins Mavy and Cassy. For starters, both of Zoren’s 20 year-olds are confident in his riding skills and abilities.
The actor has gone through several rider training courses, including the PNP-Highway Patrol Group (HPG) training program. While the celebrity father definitely has the need for speed (as evidenced by his love for track days and European sportbikes), his kids trust that Zoren is a responsible rider who doesn’t endanger himself or others out on the road.
In a recent interview, Cassey said, “My dad has trained enough, and big boy na siya. He’s a smart driver and rider, so I trust him and know that he can ride safely. Siyempre, there are times where you have to worry kasi you never really know what can happen, pero alam naman na ni Tatay yun.”
It comes as no surprise that Zoren has tried to get both of his kids into riding. Cassy actually wanted to learn, and her father happily obliged. She shared, “Para malay mo, sa action movies or shows, they might require me to ride a bike, so gusto ko. At home, my dad taught me the gears and all of that. And once I learned that, sabi ko, ‘Okay, never mind, I think I’m better off at home.’”
Mavy, for his part, had to get on a motorcycle as part of his acting career, and Zoren supported him throughout the process.
This, despite the fact that Mavy prefers four-wheelers over motorbikes. “Parang mas ma-porma pa yung kotse,” he explained. “Siyempre he (Zoren) teased me. Na parang, ‘Di mo ba gusto yung pag naka-motor ka, nakayakap sayo yung babae?’ Sabi ko,‘Crazy ka! Gusto ko yung habang nagda-drive nakahawak sakin yung kamay.’”
Did your rider dad try to get you into bikes, too?
