In the previous episode of our Mindanao ride series Adto na ta!, our vlogger Marlon and his riding buddy Jondi R. Lacson, Norminring Motorbikes president and CEO, took off for their ride to Cagayan de Oro City from the Norminring Motorbikes dealership in Davao City. For episode two, the riders continue their journey as they head off to their first pitstop: The Mojicans, a Mexican restaurant.
On the menu at The Mojicans you’ll find things like assorted burritos, tacos, quesadillas, menudo, soups, sandwiches, and more. A homey atmosphere awaits those who dine here, as the interior and decor are reminiscent of how one would imagine a Mexican home looks like. It just so happens that the owner of the restaurant is a rider as well, as our pair spot the owner’s Indian Scout parked outside.
After lunch, Marlon and Lacson hit the road once again. Along the way, Marlon shows us several scenic spots, the first of which is the Philippine Eagle Monument along Buda National Highway in the Marilog District of Davao. Featuring a large statue of a Philippine eagle and an eagle chick, this monument is a known landmark to those who traverse these roads.
Marlon then takes us to a viewpoint in Bukidnon overlooking the surrounding area, where we are treated to a breathtaking view of mountains and greenery as far as the eye can see. Also at this viewpoint is an eatery and several spots to take touristy pictures, complete with statues wearing local traditional clothes.
The episode concludes with the two riding through the countryside as the sun sets, forming an idyllic scene as the riders head towards their next destination.
