In celebration of its 75th anniversary, MV Agusta has released a 50-minute-long documentary that gives a comprehensive behind-the-scenes look at the world of the Italian manufacturer. In detailing its history, present, and plans for the future, the Varese-based brand shows viewers unique perspectives on MV Agusta from the eyes of eight individuals whose lives have been significantly affected by its beautiful bikes.
The film, entitled ‘You See a Bike,’ explores what a motorcycle, or motorcycling itself, can mean to different people. It’s this idea that each of the eight personalities explore in their respective segments, set in varied locations around the world. With each interview, viewers are treated to a different take on what MV Agusta’s motorcycles represent, and what different mindsets, careers, and cultures see when they cast eyes on a bike.
Those who shared the story of their relationship with the brand include Horacio Pagani, founder and chief designer of Pagani Automobili, renowned custom bike builder Roland Sands, MotoGP photographer Gigi Soldano, fashion entrepreneur Ottavio Missoni, stunt rider Thibaut Nogues, Italian road racing legend Giacomo Agostini, GP racer Virginio Ferrari, and Carl Cox, celebrity DJ and music producer. Each storyteller detailed their personal relationship with the brand, as well as what drives their passion for these machines.
MV Agusta CEO Timur Sardarov offers this film as a gift to all of the brand’s fans, presenting it as a piece that people can enjoy whether or not they ride. True to the company’s high-art and passionate image, this production truly shows how a bike can be so much more than just a machine.
