Hyped for the new and improved Triumph Tiger 1200? You’re not alone. While Triumph has yet to disclose the official specs and other details ahead of the adventure bike’s release, the British manufacturer has given us a fresh teaser.
Triumph enlisted the help of multiple-time AMA Motocross and Supercross champion Ricky Carmichael to give the bike a proper thrashing. The X Games gold medalist and NASCAR driver got on the new Tiger 1200 and took it for a spin on asphalt, dirt, mud, and even a bunch of gnarly jumps.
The video gives us several more clear shots at the bike, and in turn is making us want the Triumph logo camo paint job as an actual paint option. We also get to see how big the bike looks when ridden by the 168cm tall (about 5’5”) motocross racer.
With his height rather relatable to Asians, Carmichael gives Filipino riders hope as he treats the 1200cc triple cylinder engine-powered adventure bike like a toy. The racer is thoroughly impressed by the bike, and exclaims, “This thing is sweet! I know a lot of time and effort has gone into this new 1200, and it shows. It handles phenomenally.”
Triumph still hasn’t graced us with new info on its range-topping ADV, so we’ll have this sick video of the prototype being used the way it should be, instead of riding to the nearest coffee shop for the ’gram. Check the video out below:
