TV commercial director and motorcycle enthusiast Sid Maderazo got to check out Skyway Stage 3, which San Miguel Corporation (SMC) partially opened recently.
The man behind Isang Tasang Pangarap went for a solo ride on the elevated expressway before the turn of the calendar, describing the experience and travel time as “surreal” and “amazing.”
According to Maderazo, it only took him 20 minutes from Bicutan to Balintawak, then 12 minutes from Balintawak to Buendia. He used a GoPro Max to record his trip. He then sped up the videos and uploaded them on Instagram.
The Brap Pack member also met up with fellow celebrity riders Kim Atienza, Dingdong Dantes (EuroMonkeys), and Jay Taruc, based on his latest IG Stories.
SMC opened Skyway Stage 3 to the public on limited capacity last December 29, free of charge for one month. The company was supposed to welcome motorists earlier, but the effortd were delayed by Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses.
Vice-Chairman Ramon Ang said, “While this is only a partial opening, given the scale and importance of this project, this is a very significant development.
“We cannot rush the curing of concrete and preparation for asphalt, because these have to be given enough time and have to be done according to the highest specifications to ensure quality and safety.”
