This year’s Ducati World Premiere event wraps up in style with the launch of the new Monster.

Prior the muscle bike, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer had already unveiled other models from its 2021 range via the web series, namely the Multistrada V4, new XDiavel and Scrambler variants, the SuperSport 950, Panigale V4 SP, the TK-01RR, and MIG-S e-bikes, and the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini.

According to the official website, the recipe for the Ducati Monster is the original 1993 one: a sporty engine, but perfect for road use, combined with a Superbike-derived frame.” The 937cc twin-cylinder engine, which is 4.5kg lighter than the 821’s, can deliver 111hp at 9,250rpm and 9.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

The braking system consists of twin Brembo M4-32 4-piston monobloc calipers gripping 320mm discs in front, and another Brembo caliper paired with a single 245mm disc in the rear. Its alloy wheels and Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires contribute to the motorcycle’s reduced weight.

Aside from the bison-back-shaped tank, round headlight, clean tail, and prominent engine, the reimagined classic sport naked concept also features a front frame derived from the Panigale V4’s. It also boasts a sleek tail made of glass fiber-reinforced polymer, a seat height of 820mm, and a wet anti-patter hydraulic clutch.

The new Monster boasts a supersport electronics kit that includes fully-adjustable ABS Cornering and traction, wheelie, and launch control. It also offers three riding modes (Sport, Touring, and Urban).

The 2021 Ducati Monster and Monster Plus will be available in Ducati Red, Aviator Grey, and Dark Stealth.
