To recognize the increasing number of female riders in the country, Honda Philippines (HPI) has launched the 2021 Genio, now available in three new color schemes—Vintage White, Valiant Red, and Matte Gunpowder Metallic Black.
“There is no denying that women riders are rapidly increasing, especially with more and more women realizing its benefits and the joy of mobility that they feel in every ride amid the new normal,” HPI’s statement reads.
The new Honda Genio retains the 110cc SOHC single-cylinder engine that generates 9hp at 7,500rpm and 9.3Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. This gentle mill is linked to a V-belt CVT for smooth twist-and-go riding.
Stopping power is provided by a single disc in front and a drum brake at the rear, which is complemented by a combi-crake system for added safety. Other standard features include an LED headlight, a secured key shutter with a seat opener, a USB port, and a digital meter panel with an Eco indicator. Fuel economy from the 4.2-liter tank sits at a claimed 59.1km/L.
The Genio offers a 14 liters of underseat storage space and a spacious inner rack for the rider’s personal items. It is now available at Honda dealerships nationwide at the same old SRP of P72,900.
