Last December, we featured 10 motorcycles that are well-suited for delivery services. At the top of our list was the Honda TMX125 Alpha, a versatile, reliable, easy-to-maintain, and fuel-efficient workhorse. Ask any TMX125 owner and they will be glad to tell you how much this solid-steel bike can take a beating.
If you’re considering buying a new unit to use as a delivery-service vehicle, the 2021 Honda TMX125 Alpha is now available. The legendary commuter retains its durable 125cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that consumes an average of 62.5km/L when riding at a constant speed of 45kph.
The new TMX125 Alpha is equipped with both a kick starter and electric push-button start. Up top, the rider and passenger share a flat seat. It runs on a pair of 18in tires fitted on chrome spoke wheels. It also features a specially built collar for mounting a sidecar in case you want to convert it to a tricycle, along with a provision for a second set of shock absorbers at the rear for heavy loads.
Honda’s engineers fitted the new TMX125 Alpha with a 38T rear sprocket instead of the usual 44T to attain a good balance between top speed and pulling power. Aside from the Candy Ruby Red and Black color schemes that were made available with the previous iteration, Honda Philippines has introduced the Matte Armored Silver Metallic option as well.
And here’s the best part: The SRP for the new Honda TMX125 Alpha remains at P51,400.
