Following the release of the locally manufactured Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Svartpilen 401, and Svartpilen 200, the Swedish-origin Austrian motorcycle company has taken the wraps off of the new Svartpilen 125.
“This machine gives younger riders the opportunity to learn and travel with certainty, the single-cylinder machine matches intelligent design with high-end componentry, agile handling and a rugged aesthetic,” Husqvarna said of the rugged street explorer.
The Svartpilen 125 is powered by a 125cc liquid cooled, single-cylinder engine that peaks at 15hp. The powerplant also comes with a balancer shaft and an electric starter as well as a six-speed close-ratio gearbox with low-friction components for smoother shifting.
Its lightweight streel trellis frame is made from hydro-formed tubes. The model’s brake and suspension kit consists of ByBre brake calipers, a Bosch ABS system, and WP suspension. The ABS system can also be set to Supermoto mode for advanced riders.
According to its product description, the Svartpilen 125 is an homage to the Swedish heritage of Husqvarna bikes, especially the narrow bodywork and dark colors.
The bike is fitted with 17-inch spoked wheels and Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires, which provide plenty of functional grip and aesthetic appeal. It’s also equipped with off-road-style handlebars and risers, forged aluminum triple clamps, as well as LED lights in the front and rear.
