In a bid to sustain its domination of the adventure touring range, Kasawaki has launched the new Versys 1000 S and Versys 1000 SE in Europe. These latest models now come in three variants: Standard, Tourer, and Grand Tourer.

Both the 1000 S and the 1000 SE are offered in two color schemes: Emerald Blazed Green/Metallic Diablo Black/Metallic Flat Spark Black, and Pearl Storm Gray/Metallic Diablo Black/Metallic Flat Spark Black. Replacing the previous base model, the new Versys 1000 S comes equipped with premium features like LED lighting, a quickshifter, and cruise control to make long rides easier, more convenient, and enjoyable than before.

The Versys 1000 S Tourer and Grand Tourer editions get some notable extra accessories. The former features a pair of 56-liter panniers with inner linings and a tank pad. The Grand Tourer, meanwhile, adds foglights, GPS brackets, and frame sliders.

The 2021 Versys 1000 SE features a more advanced Showa Skyhook electronic suspension system in place of the previous factory-designed Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension (KECS). Its Tourer and Grand Tourer editions share the same set of accessories and extra features as the corresponding variants of the 1000 S.

The two models retain the 1,043cc DOHC liquid-cooled in-line-four engine that generates 119hp and 102Nm. The same goes for the brake setup that comprises dual semi-floating 310 mm petal discs and a dual radial-mount monoblock four-piston caliper. The rear end gets a single 250mm petal disc with a single-piston caliper.

Kawasaki is known for its consistency in coming up with competitive prices for its offerings. The new Versys 1000 S is expected to be available at dealerships in Europe by December this year, while the SE will land on February 2021.

Here’s the price list in Europe:

        • Versys 1000 S Standard – £12,999 (P745,000)
        • Versys 1000 S Tourer – £13,799 (P790,820)
