When the 2021 Tiger 850 Sport was teased last week, Triumph described it as “tailor-made to do it all.” The British motorcycle company finally dropped the adventure tourer, and the finished product definitely didn’t disappoint.
Triumph underscored road-focused versatility with this new model, packing in an 888cc DOHC liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine that is capable of 84hp at 8,500rpm and 82Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This powertrain is Euro 5-compliant. The suspension setup consists of Marzocchi upside-down cartridge forks and gas pressurised, preload-adjustable RSU, while Brembo Stylema calipers clamp onto twin 320mm discs to provide stopping power.
The Tiger 850 Sport also boasts rider-focused technology such as the brand’s latest-generation ABS and swithable traction control. Other innovative features include a five-inch TFT color display, Road and Rain riding modes, full LED lighting, a slip and assist clutch, an adjustable screen, and a 20-liter fuel tank.
According to Triumph, “Built specifically for road-going adventure, comfort and capability, the Tiger 850 Sport delivers performance and rider-focused technology to approach every ride with confidence.
