Good news for Pinoy riders who love to go off-roading: The much-awaited 2021 Yamaha Tenere 700 has finally found its way to local dealerships. This comes more than a month after Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) started accepting reservations.
This midsize adventure bike is priced at P619,000 and is fitted with the same 689cc DOHC, liquid-cooled engine as the MT-07 and XSR700. This powertrain is mated to a six-speed transmission fitted with a cable-actuated clutch system.
The Tenere 700’s stopping power is provided by large, wave-style 282mm front discs and a single 245mm disc at the rear. This setup comes with switchable ABS, and is attached to 21-and 18-inch spoked wheels. The bike is available in two color schemes: Ceramic Blue and Matte Black.
The T7’s towering 34.4in seat height might be an issue for average-sized Pinoy riders. Thankfully, YMPH is offering optional lowering kits (P9,600) and lower seats (P4,500). These original Yamaha components can reduce the seat height by as much as 1.4 inches.
