Kawasaki’s popular Ninja 650 has received new color options in India. It also gets a slight price bump from 654,000 Indian rupee (around P444,000) to 661,000 Indian rupee (about P449,000).

Two new colors have been introduced, the first of which is a Kawasaki Racing Team-inspired livery with black and lime green paint, red pinstripe graphics, and white accents on the lower fairing. With this color option, the street-oriented sportbike gains race bike aesthetics.

The second color, called ‘Pearl Robotic White,’ features mostly white fairings with some metallic gray portions and a bit of lime green. If you’re not so keen on standing out and looking like a Power Ranger, then this is probably the color to choose.

Colors and pricing aside, the 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650 remains unchanged. Powering the bike is the same 649cc parallel-twin engine that produces 68.3hp at 8,000rpm and 65.7Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox with a slipper clutch, while a chain final drive delivers power to the rear wheel.

A conventional telescopic fork handles suspension duties at the front, while a monoshock comes equipped in the rear. Braking comes courtesy of a dual front disc with dual-channel ABS and a single rear disc setup.

Info is displayed through a 4.3-inch full-color TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity. The connectivity feature works in tandem with the Kawasaki Rideology app, which lets riders access the bike’s status, maintenance schedule, and more.

There’s a decent chance that we’ll receive one or both of these color options soon enough in the Philippine market. Which of the two do you think looks better?
