If KTM’s 1290 Super Duke R wasn’t beastly enough for you, Team Orange has introduced an even angrier version dubbed the ‘R EVO.’ This takes the fight to its sport bike-derived competitors with semi-active suspension and new paint jobs.
The R EVO remains largely unchanged from the ‘standard’ Super Duke. Peak power from the 1,301cc LC8 V-twin engine remains at 180hp, while peak torque is still at 140Nm. KTM has taken the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach with the rest of the naked bike’s components as well.
The WP Apex suspension gets Comfort, Street, and Sport semi-active damping modes. Opt for the Suspension Pro package and you’ll also get Track, Advanced, and Auto modes.
KTM has yet to announce an MSRP, but we can expect this bike to hit dealerships starting January 2022.
