Dingdong PH has proven once again that it is always looking out for its fleet of partner-riders.

Under the Rotary Club of Makati’s (RCM) [email protected] program and in partnership with the YesPinoy Foundation (YPF), the e-commerce platform granted a total of 20 qualified riders a no-downpayment motorcycle loan program with low monthly amortization to help with their deliveries.

The ceremonial turnover at the RCM Clubhouse was graced by RCM president Peter Manzano, Dingdong PH president and CEO Dingdong Dantes, and Dingdong PH rider management gead and superbike champion Raniel Rusuello.

Eight partner-riders made up the first batch of [email protected] recipients and brought home brand-new Suzuki Skydrives—provided in coordination with WheelTek. The scheme only requires the approved riders to settle a P2,000 monthly amortization for the unit. RCM, for its part, will pay for documentation and acquisition.

Dingdong PH’s partner-riders need to attend monthly values formation and community development initiatives, as part of the Rotary Community Corps. According to RCM, the beneficiaries also successfully passed the YPF’s training program.

Part of the release read, “The collaboration aims to further strengthen the partnership between the three organizations and to strongly push forward their shared passion of empowering and enabling people to cope with and get their lives back on track especially during this extraordinary time.

Dantes has been consistently vocal about his great respect for delivery riders and how difficult their job is: “There are so many factors to consider: heat, dehydration, heavy traffic, wrong addresses—which can cause panic and delays, customer’s temperament, plus the danger of getting into accidents especially if you have not been properly trained.”

“And yet, our riders out there try to wear a smile at all times, and make everything look bearable.”
