        Ducati updates the SuperSport 950 and Panigale V4 SP

        It also introduced a couple of new electric mountain bikes

        Third times the charm for Ducati in Episode 3 of its 2021 World Premiere web series. The Italian manufacturer dropped new variants of the XDiavel and Scrambler this time last week, and has now shifted its focus to the sportbike segment.

        The latest presentations description read, From the world of electric mountain bikes, passing through the SuperSport, up to the Panigale V4, Ducati illustrates the concepts of sportiness and performance that distinguish it.

        First, the SuperSport 950. The sportbike didn’t only get a name change, but also design and equipment upgrades centered on dynamism. The SuperSport 950 boasts new fairings by the Ducati Style Centre, as well as a new full-LED headlight and side air vents that bring to mind the Panigale V4.

        The model is equipped with a 937cc twin-cylinder engine, capable of 110hp at 9,000rpm and 93Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Engine performance is enhanced by the combination of a ride-by-wire system, the Ducati Quick Shift, and hydraulic clutch command.

        Meanwhile, the Panigale V4 SP receives the Sport Production acronym, which according to Ducati is “used to recognize a production bike with specific technical equipment that makes it faster on the track.”

        From a technical standpoint, the Panigale V4 Sp is built for the racing amateur. Lightweight chassis components, such as the five-spoke carbon wheels and Brembo Stylema R front brake calipers, are adopted from the Superleggera V4. The unit is armed with a 1,103cc liquid-cooled engine that can deliver 214hp at 13,000rpm and 124Nm at 9,500 rpm.

        Ducati also launched two new e-bikes, the TK-01RR and MIG-S, designed by Thok. The TK-01RR is an e-enduro made for the most difficult off-road terrain, while the MIG-S is a sporty all-mountain focused on agility and performance. Both bikes are fitted with Shimano Steps—EP8 for TK-01RR, E8000 for MIG-S— and 6061 aluminum frames.
