According to the Manila Public Information Office, five food deliveries under Moreno’s name recently arrived at the office of the mayor. The orders, which came from different international mobile numbers, carried the message: “Pakidala po sa mayor’s office. Thank you. Pa-assist na lang po kayo.”
He said, “Alam naman po natin na marami ang gusto lang maghanapbuhay nang tapat at marangal. Huwag na natin sila i-prank, pag-trip-an o i-harass sa mga pekeng deliveries natin. This is not a laughing matter.
“This goes to anyone who will attempt to harass our riders. Huwag po natin silang lokohin. May kanya-kanya silang pamilya na binubuhay. Wala silang masamang intensyon kundi kumita lang nang tapat.”
Earlier this week, actress Kris Bernal also shared on Instagram about falling victim to the same scam. She received a total of 23 GrabFood deliveries from a certain Jen Jen Manalo and the same mobile number.
Bernal wrote, “All I know is I didn’t do anything wrong to someone for me to deserve this kind of treatment. What saddens me the most is I’m not the only one affected in this situation but also the Grab drivers who were victims of the fake deliveries.”
“I really hope that there was even a bit of sympathy to the riders. They are the main victims here. I hope the person who did this will feel a bit of conscience.”
