Foodpanda riders have filed a complaint before the Department of Labor over a new payment structure which they say has reduced their pay. The food-delivery platform said the new payment stucture was communicated to the riders before it was implemented, describing it as “more organized and fair” since it is distance-based.
Bahala kayo sa buhay niyo,” said Romeo Maglunsod, a spokesman for the KAGULONG group that represents the riders.
The group is asking for reforms in the payment system. It also cited difficulties in securing customers through app bookings.
