Cleanfuel has announced a P1.30 and P1.50 per liter price hike in gasoline and diesel products, respectively, starting at 4:01 pm. Pilipinas Shell and Seaoil will implement the same adjustment, aside from a P1.45 per liter increase in kerosene, only earlier at 6 am.
Meanwhile, Caltex Philippines, Inc.’s increase takes effect at 12:01 am.
This marks the seventh straight week that local fuel players carried out a hefty adjustment, as global oil prices hovered around $80 per barrel.
The opening of local economies following the easing of quarantine restrictions in different parts of the country may have contributed to the huge demand for petroleum products.
Last October 5, the oil companies issued an advisory on premium and unleaded gasoline price hikes (P1.45 per liter), as well as a P2.05 per liter increase in diesel.
