Honda’s CB650R neo retro-styled naked bike has been selling like hotcakes since its debut back in 2019. This in-line-four motorcycle has a blend of classic and contemporary styling cues, a responsive and mean-sounding engine, and capable componentry, all combined with Honda’s reputation for quality and reliability.
With its combo of timeless yet modern looks and solid performance, it was only a matter of time before bike builders started fiddling with the middleweight naked. To capitalize on the CB650R’s customization potential, Honda Europe is holding a custom bike building competition for ten of its dealers in Spain, France, and Portugal. The dealers submitted one entry each into the competition to showcase their creativity and customization skill.
Each entry emphasizes different aspects of the CB650R’s Neo Sports Cafe concept. The dealers took advantage of the bike’s versatility to produce flat trackers, cafe racers, track-worthy sport nakeds, and builds that don’t fall into any particular classification.
Take a look at the pictures of the contestants and take in all the unique details incorporated into each bike. Each CB650R tells its corresponding dealer’s story and character.
If you’ve picked out a build that you really like, you can head on over to the competition’s dedicated webpage and cast your vote for which of the 10 you think deserves to win. The winning dealer gets recognition and bragging rights, while voters will receive a high-resolution image of the bike they voted for.
If you currently own a CB650R, maybe these builds can serve as inspiration for your next upgrade or step in your custom build.
