As we wait for Honda to launch the CB1000R, the Japanese manufacturer has piqued the interest of its Chinese market in the meantime with the 2021 NX125b, as reported by RideApart. Dubbed the Honda Grazia’s cousin, the scooter boasts the same powertrain, as well as the former’s aggressive aesthetic.
The NX125’s front fascia is fitted with a dual-pod LED headlamp setup that has Honda’s signature turn indicators. The handlebar cowl, interior panels, and tail section, meanwhile, receive the dual-tone treatment. But what makes the scooter really reminiscent of the Indian-spec Grazia 125 is its sharp and sporty styling. Complementing this design is a slew of features: a fully digital instrument cluster, front storage compartments spacious underseat storage, and a USB charger—not to mention its six-liter fuel tank capacity.
The NX125 runs on a 125cc engine that pumps 8.7hp at 7,500rpm and 9.7Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Weighing 106kg, it is equipped with a 12-inch front wheel, 10-inch rear wheel, front telescopic forks, and rear monoshock. The new scooter is reportedly priced at 9,580 Chinese yuan (approximately P69,900).
Last month, Honda revealed the 2021 Forza 750 and Forza 350, luxury features and all, for the European market. With the NX125 introduced in China and the Grazia and Activa 125 both a hit in India, it will be interesting to see which of these scooters will be made available in the Philippines.
