In line with the celebration of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Day on July 23, Honda Philippines (HPI) donated two of its power products to the Rizal Park management for the restoration and maintainance the Japanese Garden within the park premises.
Opened to the public in 1955, the Japanese Garden sits in a 59-hectare piece of land at the center of Rizal Park. This historic site, considered one of the biggest parks in Asia, symbolizes the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Japan and the Philippines.
The water pumps donated by HPI are the WL30XH and the WX10T. The WL30XH generates a high power output and good fuel economy, and its carburetor can be removed and reinstalled for easy maintenance. The WX10T, meanwhile, is a lightweight, compact, and portable water pump that can be connected to a hose. It can be used for other purposes beyond landscaping and gardening.
“Through this initiative, Honda aims to show our support in maintaining the Japanese Garden, which is not only a national attraction, but also one of the symbols that represent the ties between the Philippines and Japan,” says Susumu Mitsuishi, president of HPI.
