Lucas Oil, one of the biggest oil and additives manufacturers from the United States, has entered the Philippine market with products designed for the growing motorcycle sector.
Motovita has been designated as the local distributor for the brand, which has seen success in global racing competitions such as NASCAR, World Rally Championship, and AMA Motocross Championship.
This brand of engine oil also gained popularity when it powered the Speed Demon to numerous world records at the Bonneville Salt Flats, where the streamliner reached a top speed of 481.576mph (775kph). Certified as 100% US-made, Lucas Oil maintains manufacturing facilities in Corona, California and Corydon, Indiana, where the synthesizing and packaging for its products take place. Because of its oil’s racing-grade qualities, the brand sets oil changes for motorcycles at 4,000km intervals.
Lucas Oil Philippines (LOP) was founded by Bong Alcalde in June 2018 as the exclusive distributor of these US-made products in the Philippines. On the other hand, Motovita company of Raemin Reyes is the official distribution arm of LOP for Lucas Oil in the Luzon and Visayas regions. AGH Automotive Company takes charge of the distribution of Lucas Oil in the Mindanao region which will begin next year.
“In 2020, despite the pandemic, the Philippines has the highest number of sales in the Southeast Asian region beating Vietnam, Thailand, and Korea. Growing the brand and its presence in the Philippines will be the goal of 2021,” says Alcalde.
