Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards of AlDub fame have recently been named as brand ambassadors of a new delivery service called Toktok.
Yes, you read that right. Toktok, not to be mistaken for video-sharing social media platform TikTok, is an app designed to “connect more people by delivering items door-to-door.”
“All delivery apps will always claim that they offer quality and efficient transactions, cheaper delivery charge, and faster services, but what makes Toktok different is that it was born out of the will to help laid-off workers, be an alternative source of income now that the pandemic affected so many livelihood and to provide service to those who need it,”Jeffrey Ang, the company's director for marketing, told the Philippine News Agency back in August.
As of this writing, Toktok already has 1,950 accredited riders and 303 serviceable areas, having recorded 3,610 app downloads and 65,823 successful deliveries.
It works just like any other delivery-service app: you select your pickup and drop-off locations, jot down the item description and note any specific instructions for the driver, wait for a rider to accept your booking, then track your package real time.
More than simply accepting rider applicants, Toktok encourages the public to become online franchise operators and earn from the comfort of their own homes. Watch Maine and Alden explain how you can be part of this business venture:
