Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing will see action for the first time at the 2021 Hankook 24 Hours of Barcelona endurance racing series, which is slated from September 4 to 6.
“Motorcycle racing has been part of almost my entire life, but my career began in the Portuguese karting championship, which is why I am so keen to race four wheels,” says Oliveira, who is currently at eighth place in the MotoGP championship standings.
The newest True Racing Team member joins Reihanrd Kofler, Peter Kox, and Ferdinand Stuck. “I look forward to learning as much as I can from them. Competition is obviously a substantial part of racing, but I think my top priority will be to find my feet and have some fun,” adds Oliveira.
Aside from True Racing Team, there will be three other KTM X-Bow GTX teams on the grid: RTR Projects, Reiter Engineering, and a second True Racing group.
The 2021 Hankook 24 Hours of Barcelona race will flag off at 12:00 CEST (6pm Philippine time) at the Circuito de Barcelona in Catalunya, Spain. Free practice, qualifying sessions, and race proper will be broadcast live on the organizer’s website.
