Local police and military mobility just got a significant upgrade after logistics company Delbros Group recently donated 12 KTM 390 Duke units to the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
The turnover ceremony was held in Camp General E. Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Five new motorcycles were given to the AFP, three of which went to its Office of Legislative Affairs. According to the military, the donation will be a big help to its incident response capacity and liaison services.
Army Major Evangeline Nualda said: “On behalf of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, I thank the Delbros Group, led by chairman Jose Eduardo Delgado, for this generosity. This grant of five units will not only boost the capability of the Armed Forces but it will also uplift the well-being of our personnel.”
The remaining units were alloted to the PNP—five in Metro Manila and two in Mindanao. “With these donations, we can be more effective in the delivery of the services that are expected of us from the Filipino people,” PNP chief Guillermo Eleazar said.
The 2021 KTM 390 Duke is powered by a 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that pumps out 44hp. The model comes with a slipper clutch, ride-by-wire tech, open-cartridge suspension, adjustable spring preload, upright handlebar, and TFT color display, among other features.
Delgado said: “We are strongly committed to national and community development. We salute the AFP and the PNP in preserving public safety and maintaining peace and order. Providing you with high quality and reliable vehicles is Delbros’ way of reinforcing your capability to better fulfill your roles and duties in society.”
