Robinsons Malls has recently launched dedicated bicycle parking and repair stations to make two-wheeled travel easier for patrons amid the COVID-19 pandemic. As of Thursday, February 18, a total of 47 malls have installed the said facilities, which are free to use.
A representative from Robinsons Malls said, “We saw some shift in lifestyle in 2020 and we saw how the pandemic has created a new momentum for biking, appreciation of nature and outdoor places.
“We want to communicate that Robinsons Malls is a bike-friendly mall that is safe & convenient for bikers and we aim to make Robinsons Malls the preferred mall for shopping, dining, and entertainment of bikers. Hence our campaign handles: #BikersRWelcomeAtRMalls #CycleToRMalls.”
As part of the campaign, the company also produced the Bike Challenge video, featuring brand ambassador Maja Salvador and a local cycling group. According to Salvador, “I’m proud to say that our Robinsons Malls shoppers are adapting to a greener and more active lifestyle.”
The bikers rode from Robinsons Galleria in Quezon City to Robinsons Place Antipolo and tried out the bicycle parking and repair stations. The video, which was directed by Emmy Award winner Mike Carandang, has garnered almost 9,000 views on Facebook.
