Triumph has just unveiled its latest special-edition bike: the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition. Built in tribute to the movie star, stunt man, and avid motorcyclist, this model has been styled after the iconic Triumph TR6 that Steve Mcqueen jumped in the classic war movie The Great Escape.

Limited to just 1,000 examples worldwide, each unit gets individual numbering and a laser-etched McQueen signature on the handlebar clamp, along with a certificate of authenticity bearing signatures from Triumph CEO Nick Bloor and McQueen’s son Chad.

Also unique to the McQueen Edition is the Competition Green paint job with hand-painted gold lining, retro Triumph badging, a gold heritage tank decal, a painted high-level aluminum mudguard, aluminum radiator guard, dresser bars, and a branded brown seat.

Functionally, this model is identical to the range-topping XE variant, featuring a Euro 5-compliant 1,200cc parallel-twin engine, Brembo M50 brakes with cornering ABS, a Torque Assist clutch, six riding modes, a multifunction TFT display, all LED lighting, keyless ignition, and more.

We get the feeling that if Steve McQueen were still around, he would be more than happy to take this green machine out for a spin, especially considering the ample 89hp at 7,250rpm, gnarly 110Nm of torque coming in at 4,500rpm, tubeless spoked wheels, and fully-adjustable Showa front fork and adjustable Öhlins rear shocks.

UK buyers will have to fork over £13,600 (around P900,000) to take the Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition home. Would you like to see this bike in the metal?
