For its 75th anniversary, Vespa has released commemorative editions of its Primavera and GTS models. These special versions, dubbed the 75th series, will each carry a 75th suffix and will receive special decals on a 1940s-esque metallic yellow Giallo 75th paint job.
Paired with the decidedly retro-styled paint are a chrome-plated luggage rack with a matching bag styled to look like a spare wheel, as well as a commemorative metal badge. The seat is special, too, being made of nubuck leather in smoke grey with piping. The grey wheels receive a diamond finish, and the scooters are garnished with a whole host of chrome-plated details to really drive home the old-school aesthetic.
Under all this retro bling is a complete suite of modern features—all the 75th edition scooters are the top-spec variants in their respective lineups. The limited-edition Primavera of course gets a 125cc engine, while the GTS models come with smartphone-compatible TFT dashboards with built-in navigation.
In addition to the special scooters, those lucky enough to get their hands on these models will receive an Italian jacquard-silk scarf to that goes great with retro riding gear, a vintage steel Vespa plate, and a set of eight commemorative postcards that each detail a decade of Vespa’s history.
No word yet on local availability, but we predict these scoots are going to be pretty hard to get a hold of if ever they do make it to our shores.
